We celebrated Bonfire Night in style! It had rained all day but by 6.00pm it had stopped raining and the skies cleared. The villagers met at the village hall and there was a procession from there to the field with Guy. The Guy was ceremoniously put on the bonfire and everyone enjoyed the BBQ and some mulled wine or beer. Then the fireworks started and they were a splendid sight to see. It was a great success, loved by adults and children alike.
1st CREEKSIDE FAIR
We held our first Creekside Fair on 14 July 2022 which took place at the bottom of Stabbs Lane in the village. The green held the BBQ, tea and strawberries and ice cream and of course alcohol beverages.
There were children's games, a produce & craft tent, and welly throwing competition and tug of war on the foreshore. A lovely afternoon shared with villagers.
JUBILLEE TEA PARTY
We all celebrated her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee by having a tea party in the village. The hall was decked with red, white and blue flags as was the marquee outside the hall. Lots of sandwiches and cakes were consumed and we lifted our glasses to the Queen and sang the National Anthem. The sun shone and it was a tremendous get together for the village.
