Our Regatta in 2019 preparations were once again dominated by the weather.

​

The decision was made to erect the marquees as usual on the Friday only to see all the hard work destroyed overnight by strong winds. A massive recovery effort would be needed to repair the damage so that the Regatta could continue.  I should not have worried, within 30 minutes of the damage being discovered, word was out, and the team arrived. 
 

Working all day on Saturday and starting again at 7am on Sunday

morning the momentous task was completed, and we were ready to open on time. Without this magnificent team of helpers there would not have been a Regatta.
 

We were blessed with a day of sunshine, resulting in the usual large number of locals and visitors. The Produce Show once again was extremely well supported with large entries to classes.
